We had 100% participation! The Falcon Spirit Cup will feel at home with us for the month of March! Way to go grade ones!
Ask your child to identify the lines of symmetry in each design. Some might have more than one.
Definition: Symmetry is when one shape becomes exactly like another if you flip, slide or turn it. The simplest type of symmetry is "reflection" (or "Mirror") symmetry. Today we watched this short video to help us learn about which 3D shapes can stack, slide or roll. Yesterday we went on a 2D shape hunt in our school looking specifically for examples of circles, triangles, squares and rectangles. Continue to search for these shapes at home!
