I am sad that tomorrow is our last day together. I can't believe it! I will miss each and every one of you but will look forward to hearing all about your summer adventures when I see you in the fall. It has been an amazing year filled with lots of learning, fun and adventure! Be sure to have a fun filled summer! Be safe and see you in September. Today our class had the opportunity to play a board game of their choice. Thank you to Lucas, Brooke and Cassandra for bringing in your games. It was really nice to see everyone playing, working together and best of all having a whole lot of FUN! Everyone did a wonderful job working well with others and showing that they can collaborate with their peers. Great job grade 2's! Today we filled our classroom bucket! As our reward, students have been asked to bring in a board game that they can play on Monday.
In math, we have been working on telling time to the hour, half hour and quarter hour. I have noticed a lot of improvement with each student becoming more confident in their ability to tell the time as well as show the time with the hands on the clock. Continuing with this over the summer months would be beneficial! Analog Clock Digital Clock We received our last letter from our penpals at Chris Hadfield this week. The entire class was buzzing with excitement as they read their letters. It is really hard to believe that we only have 9 school days left! I hope everyone is looking forward to our pen pal meet and greet this week. Let's cross our fingers that Mother Nature cooperates with us. Click on the link below to watch this video that our class did with Ms. Walton in Science class yesterday. I think you will really enjoy watching and listening!
Today we finished our unit in procedural writing with a tasty treat. Almost everyone enjoyed eating their raspberry jam sandwich. If I only I had more bread, they wouldhave likely ate two. This is what they had to say: Lily-I liked the sandwich! Lucas-My sandwich was so good that I think I'm going to dream about it! Brooke-It was so good and tasty! Christiana-It was so good that I wanted more! Hannah-It was delicious! Natalie-It was sooooooooo good! |
